Threads of Hope is a transformational economic development committed to serving under-served and impoverished artisans around the world. The project focuses on empowering women textile artists, from the shantytowns of Lima, Peru to Pune, India, to help them create better lives for their families. Threads of Hope facilitates the sale of their vibrant handcrafted textiles throughout the United States. With the help of volunteers, businesses, and faith groups approximately 85% of the proceeds generated from the sale of these textiles are returned to the women to reinforce the participating families’ financial welfare. With this support, bright futures are becoming a reality as needs are now met for education, housing, business development, and health care.  Exquisite detail, vivid color, and the heart of each artist make every Threads of Hope textile a one-of-kind work of art.
